I was in town for the Marathon and, even though the hotel was busy as a result, the service was excellent and the place didn't ever seem overcrowded. The room was excellent with floor to ceiling windows providing a view of the Ku'damm and the food was just the job (I particularly appreciated the pasta meal and the early breakfast provided to any runners!). I doubt you would get as much for your money at any of the more well renowned luxury hotel chains.
