We got a really good deal on this hotel with e-bookers.ie which meant that the rather expensive breakfast was included in our rate. Overall I was disappointed with this hotel and it was not the 5 star hotel I would have expected for the Steigenberger chain. As there were three of us we knew one of us was going to get the short straw with an extra bed but the bed we got was terrible. It was lumpy and creaked, and wouldn't have been out of place in a fairly poor hostel. The decor in the room was also fairly dated in comparison to one of the other rooms which we saw. The location of the hotel was good, 2 mins from Kufurstendamm but if I was going back I wouldn't pick this hotel. A fantastic breakfast was a strong redeeming factor but overall it was quite dated and not 5 star standard.
