My wife and I stayed in the Savoy for 3 nights in July. We selected the hotel on the basis of tripadvisor reviews. The hotel itself is very conveniently located for the Ku'damm and the zoo. The rooms are quite small, but are clean and comfortable. The decor is a little bit dated. On the downside, there is no air conditioning and as the temperatures were up on 31 celcius during our stay this was a problem. Added to this, there is quite a bit of noise from the street and from the nearby rail line. On the plus side, and it was a big plus, the breakfast was excellent, with a huge array of choices, promptly replenished by very smartly dressed, polite staff. For the price we paid, this was a very good hotel and I would be happy to reccomend it for a short stay in Berlin.
