Ter Reien details:
Situated along one of the most beautiful canals of Brugge, the Sint-Annarei, the hotel offers unique views and an ideal location for exploring the historic city of Brugge.
The hotel lies 500 metres from the Burg, with the gothic architecture of the City Hall and the main market square, where you can find the famous Belfry.
The main shopping streets, departures for boat trips and all the important museums are within walking distance.
A part of the hotel is newly built, but the rooms are situated in a renovated building that's build in 1892. The charming location of our suite (you can book this room on demand) and the use of antique furniture are accentuated by the wonderful flowers.

When I booked my reservation online I must have stated something like I'm going to be so excited to be in Brugge that I'll sleep in the manger. Sure enough when my wife and I checked in, the manager didn't miss a beat and asked us to follow her to our stable room. The manager of course, if you have read some of the other reviews, is the wonderful Viky De Ridder.
It's nice to be in a strange but beautiful city and have someone treat you like you were a guest in their home, and that's exactly what Viky did - she made us feel that we were special and welcome in her city and did it effortlessly and without fanfare. We thank you Viky.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite and one of the other guests described it perfectly so I won't repeat it. There aren't many places I can afford to stay in a private suite, on a canal, in a beautiful city, so who cares about the tour boats or the bathroom.
Breakfast was very good - about the same as other places I've stayed throughout Europe. The room was clean, the shower worked, the location is wonderful and Viky is there - nothing else matters.

I agree with the previous comments on location, friendliness etc and would not wish to bore you with any more reviews exactly the same. So we had room 15 and could dip our feet in the canal (if you really wanted to!). So canal view can mean canal touch!
Anyway the only downside, and truly it was, was the miniscule bathroom. Now i'm 6'4" and this thing is tiny. The shower curtain wrapped itself around every time and there is no ventilation for the hot steam so using the mirror needs a respite after showering.
But please its only a minor inconvenience and shouldn't detract from a good stay at a reasonably priced hotel.
