Fly away - Kloten, Switzerland     

Just as many others have said, this is a good hotel for a one or two night stay. Maybe I didn't read it or maybe I just chose to ignore; the breakfast is not included in the price of the room. In fact, it is rather high priced in my opinion; 15 CHF per person for cereals and breads. This hotel must be in partnership with a few others; the shuttle bus goes to several different hotels in the area. You need to reserve the shuttle for airport departure. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor and were pretty dark. We did have a skylight which made things a bit brighter. Like I said before, this hotel is OK for a one or two night stay, I certainly wouldn't stay more than that. There are too many other outstanding places in Zurich.

We had a 3 night stay at Fly Away Hotel Zurich and enjoyed our time there. We paid about $145/night for a double standard room. The service was efficient and friendly. The free airport shuttle pickup and dropoff is very convenient, the airport is about 15min away from the hotel. There is a Spar supermarket about a 10min walk away and we bought some groceries from there which came in handy. The room was very clean and had a balcony which we used a couple times. Since it is an airport hotel, you will get some noise from the planes overhead when the balcony doors are open. The room does not have any bar soap or shampoo so you will have to bring your own. It does have liquid soap by the sink and body wash in the shower. We ordered pizzas from the pizzeria downstairs. Prices are about 18CHF for a pizza per person or 30CHF for a family pizza(2-3 people). The Kloten train station is a five minute walk away. We bought 24hour return train passes to Zurich HB station (15 min ride) from the front desk for 12CHF each. We also took a day trip to Lucerne which was about an hour train ride away from Zurich.
