Durley Grange Hotel - Bournemouth, United Kingdom 

The Hotel owner and his staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I found the hotel clean and enjoyed our stay over New Year. This hotel is one of the best english hotels we have ever stayed in for making you feel very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble with coffee, cakes, fruit, and nibbles free throughout the day. The swimming pool and sauna were very enjoyable after a day shopping. We will be returning and would like to thank all management and staff at the Durley Grange from the "Happy Hour Crowd".

We booked this hotel after finding the hotels own website on the internet. We got the brochure. We then booked a weeks stay. When we arrived we were given a key for room 208/9 (family room). We went up to our room which was on the 2nd floor. After the ground floor, the entire decor and carpets etc looked in need of a major refurb, decor, carpets etc. When we got into our room, we were disgusted on how tatty it was. (nothing like the standard rooms advertised in the brochure) We complained and were moved. This room was much much better. The swimming pool was nice. The food was good. The staff etc were ok, some really nice, others were arrogant. The hotel is about 5mins to the beach/town centre. It was nice for my kids to go to an English hotel in a sea side resort for a change, rather than going abroad. As a family we prefer going abroad and we feel you get better value for money. I wouldnt really recommend this hotel for families, it was mainly full of older people.
