We were directed to the hotel by Tourist Information when we decided on a last minute break in February. We paid ?40 for a double room and feel we had very good value for money. Our room (a small en-suite double) was spotlessly clean with an excellent shower in the bathroom. The whole hotel was warm, bar prices very competitive and breakfast more than adequate. Staff were pleasant especially the lady on reception.
Overall, I feel the Water's Edge is of guest house standard in a hotel building but I must stress that at the price we paid we would not hesitate to return again as it is situated on the sea front, has a number of amenities and a large lounge with great views overlooking the bay.

just had couple of nights here..room ok had refurbished bathroom,,food ok,,hallways looking run down and in need of some work...plenty of chill out areas in hotel, mostly leather sofas..staff very friendly..about 15 min flat walk to harbour area..no reasons not to return.
