Enjoyed my brief stay in Hotel Brianza before catching an early morning flight out from Malpensa. The hotel is small, cute and has character - there is no lift and the rooms are small (as you would expect in Milan), but we had a room with a small balcony which afforded a view over the tramlines and main street near by. (NB there is double glazing so we did sleep peacefully).
The hotel is much cleaner and friendly then other budget hotels in Milan - and it was a relief to stay here having experienced the filth and smell of the Hotel Delle Nazioni.
The air conditioning didn't work but we asked for a fan and were given good advice from the staff on where to go etc. For 60 Euro a night in Milan I think this is a real gem.

Location of Brianza hotel is quite convenient for making tours to Milano center. But, if you get a room facing tram, it is difficult to have any rest at night.
Hotel premises are clean.
Breakfast consist of tea/coffee, croissant, honey, toast, cheese and butter. No omelet or cold cuts.
Attention! Room and bathroom floors are covered with the extremely slippery ceramic tiles. One or two drops of water immediately turn it into skating ring. If you are with baby or if you have any problems with your legs and/or vestibular, then staying in the hotel might be dangerous.
There is no elevator in the hotel so, again, if you have any problems with lifting heavy suitcase, forget about this hotel.
I contacted 2 gentlemen and 1 lady of the staff. One gentleman was really friendly and helpful. The other one wasn't.
Will I recommend this hotel to my friends? Definitely not.
Kind regards,
Alex.
