* Harrachov is small town situated near the boarder with Poland, 700m above the sea level* it is 5 minute´s walk from the centre of Harrachov, situated on the hill Černá Hora, ski-jumps closed to hotel. (cableway is open in summer season from 8 a.m till 6 p.m and it goes every 30 minutes, in winter season it goes all the time from 8 a.m till 6 p.m (hotel has cards with 15 % discount for buying tickets to cableway - valid if bought in the cash-desk), it does not go at the beginning of November - maintenance)

Restaurant and BarsThe Karolina offers a stylish restaurant with a relaxing outside terrace during the summer overlooking the ski slopes, and in addition a "Crazy Saloon" bar and an atmospheric pub the "Formanka" serving local beers and cocktails.
Breakfast is served as a buffet in the restaurant from 7.30 to 10.00am, with a 3-course dinner for half-board guests between 5pm-9pm.
In addition to a wide range of Czech and international cuisine on the main menu, including fish, cheese, pasta, vegetarian foods and local desserts, the restaurant has a daily special menu, mostly offering traditional local Czech dishes such as hunter-style duck or local river trout poached with garlic.
The Crazy Saloon Bar
This lively bar offers good Moravian wines and a wide range of Czech and foreign spirits, complemented by excellent Lavazza coffee or Douwe Egberts. More informal meals and snacks than those served in the main restaurant are on offer here and, on request, live piano or other music, can be arranged.
The Formanka Pub
The house beers on offer are Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus and stout Kozel with special Czech snacks offered as an ideal accompaniment, all to be enjoyed in an atmospheric, traditional-style Czech pub.
Summer Terrace
This forms the outside part of the Crazy Saloon Bar, with 50 seats under sunshade awnings, offering the same wide assortment of wines, beers spirits and non-alcoholic beverages as those on offer throughout the Karolina. This terrace offers an ideal relaxing spot to unwind for apr?s ski and for informal dining warmed by outdoor space heaters.

Hi ,
I stayed in this hotel for two nights. I thought the hotel was ok but had a serious problem with the staff this morning while booking out. I was in the bar on Friday night and the chair I was sitting on was very old. It collapsed under my weight and all hell broke out. A local in the bar wanted to fight me and I had to leave the bar with my friend to avoid trouble. I thought that would be the end of the issue. I was very embarassed that the chair broke and I hurt my neck and back when the chair collapsed.
The staff told me this morning that I would have to pay 100 euro for the old chair. I FOUND THIS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. He claimed I was swinging on the chair which I think is complete lies. If I had broke the chair by standing on it or by throwing it I would have no problem but I was SITTING on the chair. By right they should have tried to compensate me and not the other way around. When we questioned this they told me that they would call the Police. I PAID 100 Euro for a chair that was old and decripid and well past it sell by date. I think they are ripping off the tourist and would be wary of other scams in this area. If I was Czech I know I wouldn't have paid 100 euro but because I was Irish they presumed I had loads of money. I FIND THIS TERRIBLE AND VERY POOR SERVICE.
IT LEAVES A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH.
I would not stay in this hotel for that reason alone. It was also very noisy but I would get used to that.

Wir hatten mit Freunden dieses Hotel gebucht über [---] und sind dort angekommen, aber ein Zimmer haben wir nicht erhalten. Aber alles der Reihe nach, also wo fange ich an?
Wir suchten uns das Hotel aus, weil sportliche Betätigungen inkl. waren, wie Schwimmhalle, Sauna und Fitness.
Als wir dann angekommen waren, waren alle Zimmer ausgebucht und nach langen Diskusionen wurde uns dann aber geholfen. Es wurden zwei Unterkünfte gesucht im Ort. Allerdings in unterschiedlichen Häusern und es waren auch nur Ferienwohnungen und hatte wirklich nichts mit Hotel zu tun. Wir mussten jeden Tagen dann zum Hotel fahren um unser mit gebuchtes Essen zu erhalten. Von gemütlichen Zusammensein am Abend war leider nichts zu merken, da auch Kleinkinder mitwaren und diese nicht alleine bleiben konnten. Im Hotel wäre es möglich gewesen, aber nein, nichts war.
Von unseren sportlichen Aktivitäten konnten wir leider auch nichts nutzen.
Fazit: Unseren Hochzeitstag hätte ich mir etwas anders vorgestellt und das Geld was ich bezahlen durfte, war es wirklich nicht wert. Auch eine Beanstandung war nicht möglich gewesen. Nie wieder
