Mulini - Erice, Italy 

The hotel was very nice and spacious, the beds were comfortable, the showers were great - after 3 weeks in Europe, it was one of the best stays. The breakfast was good, with a large selection. We ate our other meals out so I cannot compare. The pool was gorgeous ( large L shaped edgeless pool) and the staff was extrememly helpful. I loved that the beach was set up with lounges and unbrellas for our use as well as the pool had a cabana boy to get us towels and drinks. I would give this hotel 5 stars in comparison to other European, Mexican, South American accomodations. I do not speak Italian but I had no trouble communicating my needs or questions. If you are driving, the address is not the Erice on the map (which is at the top of a mountain), this hotel is directly on the sea and is at the very edge of Trapani. Trapani was alot of fun with ferry rides to the Isole islands, shopping and many beautiful things to see in the city. Ciao and have a nice trip.

Although the hotel itself was clean and spacious; the hotel staff were not helpful to tourists, even elderly tourists. Nights were very hard to get through due to the noise from the extra loud air-conditioning (and generator when the electricity was out) ; the walls seemed paper thin...
