This is a large hotel a short walk from town center. The room was somewhat small & very warm. The hotel itself is old, but has been renovated. It also has a spa, which we didn't use. The breakfast was fine, we didn't eat in the restaurant.

I was lucky enough to have a weekend here and really loved the hotel and the small town of Baden, in spite of the smell of the sulphur from the springs in the town. (Don't worry, there are no smells near the hotel!) A bust of Beethoven welcomes you - he is reputed to have dined here. The hotel was used as a military hospital in WWII and you can almost feel the ghosts of the past. Apparently the building fell into disrepair after the war and thankfully it was fully restored about 10 years ago. It is a most impressive building and has a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the breakfast delicious and generous with wonderful service.
My room was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space and fresh fruit to welcome me. The situation on the edge of the town was perfect, within easy walking distance to all of the shops, and I felt really happy staying in this hotel and was sad to leave. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. My friends enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna whilst I explored the town. We did not want for anything. A nice touch was that the bedrooms were all named after local composers of bygone years. A paradise for classical musicians with Beethoven's house and Mozart's church only just up the road!
