It is definitely a lovely, charming hotel with an attractive courtyard. It was a beautiful place for a small wedding. I attended a wedding in the hotel during the day and reception in the evening. It was certainly very convenient to spend the night there and I was pleased about being able to go back to my room easily between events. I found the staff generally polite and had no complaints about them. The room was charming and clean, but the bed was very uncomfortable. It was rather warm in the room at night, but I did not feel safe leaving the windows open. (Although my room was on the ground level, in looking outside, it seemed there was some sort of roof right out my window). Also, the birds were chirping loudly starting at 4:00am!) I agree with what other reviewers have said about the noise from other guests. Because the hotel is small, there was no insulation from the party-goers. My room was on the 2nd floor, and although I couldn't hear people in the reception room, I could hear people laughing and talking loudly in the hallways and opening/closing doors. When booking a room, I would ask for one away from the side of the hotel where they have wedding receptions/bands. (My mother and grandmother were very displeased at their room which was on the first floor directly above the party). If you happen to be one of the party-goers yourself and don't go to bed until 2:00am, you will probably won't notice the noise too much! The breakfast was lovely in the morning!

we stayed here for a nice getaway, had heard good and bad things about this hotel, but you have to give everyone a chance!! well on arrival the receptionist was so rude, she was txting on her mobile and didnt even stop to see to us until she had finished! she got us to sign in and nearly broke my partners credit card when taking the authorisation, and then gave us our key and sent us on are way! she did not explain any dinner times or facilities or anything! pure rude! and as soon as we went to walk away she had her mobile out again. Room was lovely though so we thoght nothing could get worse! At dinner we were told we were booked at 7.30pm and to go to the lounge were the rude small unkind nasty manager told us not to sit were we where, that it was reserved, so we moved then he came back over to ask us who we were?? were we resisdents? and what time were we booked? we gave him are name and he said we werent on the list, then he went and checked and said it was a miss print and that we were booked, he did not even apologise! food was nice so the chef is good, but the service from was awful, we had missing cultery and no wine glasses and no one spoke good english and we didnt get our desserts! we found out the managers name from another couple who were staying as they had trouble with him as well, so they and ourselves are writing to the tourist board, such a lovely hotel just a shame that the manager and receptionist are pure rude and dont care about anyone. ver very very disappointing!
