Extol Inn - Prague, Czech Republic     

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. If you are looking for a hotel in dowtown Prague ... this is not the place for you to stay. BUT ... a tram plus metro leaves you at the historical part of the city in just 15 minutes. Surroundings of the hotel are very quiet. Hotel facilities are very good. Good breakfast and the restaurant is cheap with special offers. Good price for a single room with a share bathroom! (only 28 euros approx!). Very clean hostel. I had a chance to take a look at some hostels dowtown and believe me ... they are not worth it!!

I like Extol Inn. It is close to the tram stop, which takes you either to Mala Strana or to Main Train Station. The hotel personel is very nice and professional. Breakfast is great: variaty of cold cuts, cheese, saussages, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, different kinds of baked bread and cakes. All you can eat. The two star rooms are basic, but if you are in Prague for sightseeing and have your own towel and don't need a TV or extras it is the place for you. Good value too. It may get loud on weekends, because of college kids drinking beer, but if you close the windows you should be ok. Generally it is a quiet and rather safe part of town. The police station is on the same street if you have any problems. You also have access to the internet for a small fee and a great restaurant in the hotel for a fraction of the cost of what you would pay in the restaurants in the old town or Hradcany. The chicken pocket with beer and potatos is great. I can see staying in Extol Inn again sometime in the near future.
