"Great, Classy, Modern Hotel"

We arrived in Prague late, about 6pm, on September 12th. Not knowing what to expect entering the modernistic lobby was a very good first impression. Entering the room, and seeing the plasma 32" TV simply added to the 1st class impression. The bath with the waterfall shower was another plus. The bed, a king, was very comfortable. The breakfast room was equally modern, roomy, and bright. The selections were very good. The scrambled eggs in the chafing dish were excellent as was the service. The staff was excellent, spoke perfect English, and sought to please. They have an honor bar as well as free coffee, tea and pastries, all at one end of a room, with couches, sofas and chairs, to meet with friends or business associates. Across from it is a library with magazines and papers, and the couches and seats very comfortable. They provide a hotel car to run to the airport or train at reasonable prices. There is a room with two free PC's with Internet access and an attached LAN printer. As for location, the Old Town square is three or four blocks, maybe 4 minutes walk. Everything is within walking distance. There are three excellent places to eat either next to the hotel or around the corner, nice if you've arrived late and don't want to trot over to the square. All in all this is an excellent hotel in an excellent location. We'd stay there again.

Lovely small hotel, close to restaurants and Old Town. The staff was very helpful and friendly, greeting us wherever they saw us. The breakfast buffet was unbelievably generous with a great selection of choices from eggs, meats, fish, cheese, fresh fruits, yogurt, breads, sweet breads, juices, coffee/tea. Our room was nicely decorated, using dark wood and modern furniture, and clean. The bed was wonderful! Prague was edgy and beautiful with so many sights, shopping and restaurants. We would recommend a walking tour to see and hear about the history of Prague. For all one hears about potential trouble with pickpockets, etc. we had no trouble. Even our 16 year old and her friends were able to go about the city without incident. From Prague we were traveling to Salzburg. We hired Mike's Chauffeur, based on other reviews, to drive us there. It is a 5 hour drive and let's just say that if Mike recommends Uncle Jan as your driver, DON'T. The road is often just two lanes and Uncle Jan drove, on average, over 90 mph, cutting corners, passing blindly and tailgating. Seemed he wanted to pass every car between Prague and Salzburg. Even my husband, who never gets rattled, was tense and very glad to arrive in Salzburg. It was exhausting.
