Scott's Hotel  - Killarney, Ireland     

Stayed at the Scotts hotel for our romantic Valentines Getaway but were very disappointed. My husband is paraplegic and our room had been booked in early December with HUGE emphasis on requiring a wheelchair accessible room. We arrived at 6pm to be greated by a very efficient receptionist 'Monica' who I can only give the greatest of praise for. We went to our allocated room to find that it was FAR from wheelchair accessible. Yes we could get into the room but my husband would not be able to use the toilet or shower (shower was a raised cubicle with no handrails or wheelchair access). We were eventually allocated a room which was not ideal but would be ok. Our included dinner was OK but more bar food standard than restaurant standard. And as for ordering breakfast in bed .....FORGET ABOUT IT,,,,we set our order for breakfast at between 8 and 8.30 by 9.50 it had not arrived so we decided to go down to the restaurant for breakfast. Just as we were about to leave breakfast arrived.... STONE COLD ....Even the coffee was lukewarm!!! Scotts you have a great location but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

A great hotel, right in the middle of Killarney. Everything is on your doorstep. The room we had was gorgeous, very big and spacious and a lovey balconey. We didnt hear a thing all night, the bed was very comfortable and clean and tidy. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, not dinner but the cooked Irish breakfast was lovely and the staff were most helpful. It was a bit more expensive than other hotels in the area (75 euro pp per night B&B) but it was well worth it and defintely value for money. I will definetely be staying in Scotts hotel if I return to Killarney in the near future. PS - 'Cronin's Restaurant' across the road from the hotel is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!! They do the best food ever and we ate in there the whole 3 nights we stayed in Killarney!
