The hotel is very well located in the centre of Chicago, just a few blocks away from many important locations. The staffing is friendly but at bare bones levels, so it can take a long time to check in, especially in the late afternoon. The rooms are small and clean. The problem is the noise. There is construction going on and if you're in the wrong room, you're woken up at 7 am by banging and drilling. My room faced over the back of the hotel, right above the garbage cans, so I was continually disturbed at about midnight by trucks banging around.

Stayed for three nights early in June 2008 - booked online with Expedia. The Good: - Free filtered water & bottles - Good business desk and Internet access - Location - lots of good places to eat within walking distance - Reasonable fitness facilities - Great shower head on a hose The Bad: - Renovations on front facade and hallways - Very small TV that was not facing the bed area comfortably (got a sore neck from straining to see it - Fairly small room - not quite a Manhattan bachelor apartment, but not a whole lot of room to stretch out in
