I travelled to the Betsy Ross in March 2007, it is in an excellent location at the quiet end of Ocean Drive just over the road from the beach. It's an easy 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants further down Ocean Drive.
The rooms were very nice, comfortable furniture and clean. We had a 2nd floor ocean view room.
The only problem that we had was on our last day at 8am there was the most horrendous banging from outside, I opened the blinds (in my pyjamas) to find 3 men outside the window hammering away at the roof. I called down to reception (who had given us no notice of this at all) to ask what was going on and is it going to stop soon. Unfortunately the girl who picked up just didn't seem to care and offered no apology.
I would advise asking if there will be any work going on when you are planning to stay before booking.
