I stayed in a double room with a friend for 5 nights. I loved that this hotel was so well located near metro stops, and was not too far from the train station by taxi (about 8 eu.) Also it was convenient to Politecnico were my friend had a meeting. The room was TINY, TINY, TINY compared with rooms in Venice, Florence, Rome, Sienna, Amsterdam, Bruges, Vianden, Spa, Namur and even others where I've stayed in Milan....but it was very nicely redecorated and well appointed.
The room had a TINY balcony and everything was new and clean. There was a nice view from the small balcony and the room was quiet. The shower needed tightening, as it was unusable as anything but handheld, but luckily I had a little screwdriver in my bag and I was able to fix it.
Because of the nice decor, be careful if you are planning budget meals from the grocery... food is not permitted in the room...the mini bar was no help either as it offered the smallest selection of the most overpriced beverages I've ever seen anywhere.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE WONDERFUL HOSTESS, (who was sweet, helpful and always smiling and gave me useful information), the entire staff was unhelpful and almost rude in their "do not disturb me" attitude. My friend needed to use the internet to check his meeting venue and having seen the previous reviews I didn't think this would be a problem, but we were told there was "no cable for the computer"; perhaps "someplace downtown would have something." I hated even asking for the room key from the unhappy, unfriendly front desk men.
I"ve traveled a bit and think I'm not too fussy, but I felt unwelcome and not too comfortable here, (especially at this price for 5 nights). It was pretty and very convenient to Politecnico and the metro however, and probably nice for a day or two business trip.

We stayed in Milan for 2 nights in Sept 06. Choose this hotel because we wanted to stay in an intimate small style hotel.
From the minute of arrival, this hotel has it all going for it. Its no problem for taxis to find it and is situated on a lovely quiet tree lined street. Very clean district with pubs and restaurants nearby.
Check in took all of 2 seconds! Very efficient, friendly service. Reception had all our details ready and we were checked in and in our rooms 5 minutes after arriving.
Rooms are a bit small compared to USA but that's the norm in Europe. The whole place is immaculate and I mean really immaculate. Everything seems shiny and new and its a well oiled operation here. Lovely intimate breakfast room and also a really pretty garden where you can breakfast weather permitting.
The bed was comfy with extra pillows provided and a balcony which overlooked the courtyard. Every convenience you could want is in your room.
We asked reception if there was internet facilities nearby and were presented with a wireless brand new laptop to take to our room and use for as long as we wished. In fact, reception couldn't be more helpful and there seemed to be plenty of staff on hand to help with calling taxis, enquiries etc.
They also recommended where to eat and where to go and we found their advice invaluable.
You are within walking distance of the heart of Milan here, except for the Duomo which was a €8 taxi ride but we choose to walk most of the time and within 5 minutes were on the main shopping streets.
Again, its a lovely peaceful, safe location and I believe this hotel will go way up the list of Milan's top hotels very shortly, due to its keen pricing, immaculate standards of cleanliness, helpful staff and intimate setting.
Not to be missed!
