The Palazzo Belmonte is a hidden gem. My husband and I were married there in May 2006. The staff pulled out all the stops to make sure we had our dream wedding. We were able to walk the grounds and choose the exact location we went our ceremony performed at. The chef met with us and discussed our wedding meal. He was great at making the perfect meal for our day. The outdoor restaurant by the sea is absolutely amazing. The food is just wonderful. Be prepared to dine alongside the Prince of Belmonte, yes the Prince. He is a very nice and approachable gentleman. He even came to our ceremony and stayed for the toast. We had a room by the sea, great view and room. Upon arrival we had chocolates and a welcome note and after our ceremony champagne, cheese and crackers and an enormous bouquet was waiting in our room. If you are having a wedding here there is no need for a lot of flowers as the grounds are very well decorated; lots of orange and lemon trees. We opted to only have a bouquet for myself and boutenierre for my husband. The true unspoilt beauty is overwhelming. If you are looking to have a small intimate wedding this is the place to go. Palazzo Belmonte exceeded my expectations. I only wish the prices were lower so we could visit again. I guess that will have to wait for a special anniversary.
