Location

We are situated in the fashionable district of the Quadrilatero Romano, within walking distance of Piazza Castello, San Giovanni's 14th century Basilica, the National Cinema Museum and the Egyptian Museum.

It is 10 minutes' walk from the train station and the Turin Exhibition centre, 25 minutes' journey from Sandro Pertini Airport in Caselle.

Every day in Turin you will meet artistic and cultural protagonists: the famous drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, the delicate strokes of impressionists, masterpieces by Goya and Tiepolo, the genius of Franz Kline, all in the splendid backdrop of Baroque palaces and modern exhibition centres.

We were assigned this hotel, which is supposedly rated four star, by another hotel (Golden Palace) who claimed they had water damage and could not honor confirmed bookings. Upon arrival by taxi the bellman waited inside the lobby and when we asked for his assistance he asked where the baggage was located there was only one robe upon arrival. The promised twin beds proved to be a single queen sized bed. the light in the bathroom did not work (it took seven requests to have the bulb replaced three days later) The elevator to the spa did not work for at least two days despite four requests. it was never repaired during our stay the air conditioning did not work on two days despite four requests It was never repaired prior to our departure. The hotel was rated four star and was fairly new but extremely sterile looking The bathtub drain did not work despite three requests it was never repaired during our stay. the bathtub itself was modern looking but was extremely dangerous to get in and out of due to the strange design. The hotel forgot to give us a wakeup call on our day of departure. We requested the bill the night before our departure and twice on the morning of departure to save time. However it was never printed uintil we had our bags in the lobby and were awaiting the taxi. The hotel staff informed us of the wrong railway station to take a side trip. My wife spilled her medications on the bed and bathroom floor. Since we were in a hurry to make a side trip we left the meds on the bed and bathroom floor and made two requests not to have the room cleaned during our absence. Despite these two requests including explaining the reason for the request the room was cleaned and the meds dumped on a desk. Most complaints and requests were met with a vacant stare.
