My husband and I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel last September. We had requested a quiet room - the hotel staff didnt bother to tell us that there was a huge music festival on in the town while we were staying - music and noise from the streets every night till about 5am!!! We complained and were put in another room but still noisy there. The hotel itself wasnt very impressive either - dated and tired looking. Rooms very basic. As for the staff........ incredibly rude!!!! Tarragona itself is really beautiful - would recommend a visit there but choose a different hotel!!

At a stunning location at the junction of the old and new towns, overlooking the Med, the hotel is a modern blot on the landscape in an otherwise fascinating town. This is a soulless commercial hotel furnished in 1970s style with a casino attached. Rooms just about adequate but carpet trampled and fraying and bath worn. Furniture Coop style, desperately in need of update. These problems would not have mattered all that much because of the stunning view of the Roman amphitheatre and blue sea if service had been warm but it was offhand and functional. Breakfast standard Eurobrek, one can do a lot better in a cafe in the placa. Didn't risk eating a meal there. This hotel was arranged for us local people who said it had the best reputation in town; must be living on past glories.
