5I recently visited Prague and the hotel in which I stayed was called the Aramis hotel.
The hotel is situated in Praha 3 (Prague 3) which is about 15mins, by bus, from the old City of Prague.
(I though before my trip that staying in a hotel that was not central would turn out to be a problem but it was not)
On arrival my first impression was good...the hotel was sparkling!
Check in was effortless and efficient and the receptionist was very friendly and polite.
Once we got to our room we were immediately impressed with how clean and warm the room was.
The beds were big and very comfortable...just as well, as we needed a snooze after our travels!
A (cheap) mini bar was provided and cable TV (should you require it) was on offer for about ?4 per day!!
The bar was small and somewhat lifeless but the barmaid was friendly and polite and the local beer was very cheap (despite being more expensive than the local bars). It made for an ideal place to sit and relax before bed or before visiting a local bar in the evening or night time.
The resaurant was again very clean and breakfast every morning was very good with a large variety of meat, breads, cereals, teas, and fruit on offer.
We did not experience the evening meals as we spent evenings in the City Centre.
Staff were very polite at all times and were extremely helpful on the first day when I asked about how and where to catch the bus into the old City Centre.
(As a bonus, bus tickets were on sale at the hotel reception desk)
They even helped to translate the instructions on a medecine bottle when one of our friends, who accompanied us, bought medecine to tackle a cough! :-)
To summarise, I would highly reccommend this hotel. Travelling by bus everyday to get to the heart of the city may not be for everyone but it would not prevent me from staying there again.
