Hotel U Jezulatka - Prague, Czech Republic     

Everything about this hotel was superb. It is a small family run hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff and excellent service. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and our bedroom was lovely, overlooking a square and with views of the castle. As well as the large bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, quality linens, flatscreen TV and complimentary minibar, there was a seperate dressing area and well fitted modern bathroom. Breakfast was included, buffet style with cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals, bread , pastries etc. plus eggs cooked to order, and excellant coffee. Outside,on the rverbank and in the shadows of Charles bridge, is the terrace bar, open all day, If you are looking for a quiet hotel with excellant service, close to all amenities, but away from the crowds, this is the hotel to choose.

We had originally booked the EuroAgentur Manes, and when we arrived were told that they were overbooked. EuroAgentur paid the taxi for us to one of their other properties, EuroAgentur Hotel U Jezulatka. This hotel is fantastic! We were lucky to have been re-directed here as I think we made out better than we would have had we stayed at Manes. This hotel is nestled in the shadow of the Charles Bridge --VERY convenient location. Our request for an upper room floor was honoured and we were shown to a third-floor (top floor) loft with dormer windows that looked out on the town and up to the castle. The hotel hallways and stairwells (no elevator!) are quirkily decorated, with wall-sized clocks and sundials. The room was traditionally decorated, though had fully modern bathroom and flatscreen TV. Breakfast was included with the room and we were satisfied with the selection of breads, pastries, fruit, cheeses, cereals, etc. Then the manager took our order for cooked items (also included)! Eggs, sausage, etc. Nice surprise!
