Well, where do I start? This was a fantastic hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived and they soon had us sitting down under one of the many wonderful chandeliers in the reception area whilst having welcome drinks brought to us on a tray when checking in. Bags were swiftly taken up to the room. We stayed in 405. It was quite a small room in the attic but very cosy, with wooden beams on the ceiling and such a comfy bed! There were nine of us staying in the hotel over Christmas, and every room was lovely. Breakfast was very tasty and plenty of it. Even when they ran out of bacon etc... it's wasn't a problem at all to them to make you some more. The hotel itself is just seconds away from the old town square, which was packed with lovely Christmas market stalls and, of course, the astronomical clock. It's also only 5 mins walk to the Charles Bridge, which is breathtaking! My only problem with the hotel - and they are very small problems! - is that there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, even though it did state that on the website and no bar. However, there is a really cool bar literally just across from the main reception front door - so no biggy!! When we all got back from shopping on Christmas Eve, we all recieved a small gift and card wishing us all the best for the New Year. It was such a lovely gesture. We got to the hotel from the airport with [--]. The return trip only cost 1200Ck for three people per car and the service was great - very prompt and helpful! I would def recommend this hotel to friends and will go back there to stay next time I'm in Prague. Go - you won’t be disappointed! The owners of the hotel should be so proud of themselves for getting it absolutely right!

This hotel was the best I have stayed in, on any of the European city breaks I've taken in recent years. Myself and my girlfriend stayed in room 206, which had really cool original wooden beams in the ceiling and had what seemd like a very old painting design on them. The bed was very comfortable and best that I've slept in in any hotel I have stayed. Bathroom was also excellent. The receptionists and hotel staff were always very helpful, greeting us with a very nice sparkling wine on our arrival, dropping suitcases up the our room promptly, delivering iron, ordering taxis, etc. They always greet you with a smile which just makes things that bit better than other hotels I've stayed. Location-wise, I think it must be one of the best. It is equidistant from the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square, both being within 3-5 minutes stroll from the hotel. Wenceslas Square is probably 5-7 minutes walk along the cobbled stone streets, though the Old Town area is the best area to stay in, the streets and buildings have much more character. The breakfast was also superb, there being both a hot and cold buffet and lots of variety. I was not disappointed in any way with this hotel.
