5On being moved to the Vitkov as our original hotel was being refurbished I was pleasenlty suprised. The hotel staff were very young and friendly and spoke a good level of english. The rooms were spacey, clean and well looked after. We had a safe, a fridge, a massive shower and A/C , fresh towels every morning and the usual facilities inc TV and phone. The hotel iteself is on a corner of a slightly busy road but the traffic noise (only first thing in the morning) was minimal. The hotel is 20 minutes away from W. Square and can be reached by the number 9 tram , 50 meters away from the hotel. The number 58 tram runs all night and stops outside the hotel. The tram system is excellent and for ?3 you can have 24hrs of fun!!.
The breakfast was hearty and continental , with the usual cheese , ham , eggs, cereal , fruits , yogurts , tea, coffee and juice. You could eat as much as you wanted.
Overall , this hotel for me was a 4 star and deservedly so. It is in a resedential area and I didn't see any ladies of the night or street rats as we call them at all. We were coming in at between 4am - 5am every night and security were very friendly :-)
An excellent choice for a hotel out of the city with good access.
