Hotel Liberty - Prague, Czech Republic

Just come back from a great stay in prague, this hotel is very central to all main sights and everything is within easy walking distant. The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful. We had pre-booked a transfer from the Airport to the hotel over the internet before we travelled, because we were aware from the last time we visited prague that you can soon get ripped off just taking any old taxi. On our last visit the very kind people at the hotel (u krale jiriho) booked us a taxi at a very reasonable rate, so with that in mind we decided to let the hotel Liberty do the same for us again, WHAT A RIP OFF the taxi for 4 people cost us double what it cost us coming in, the Hotel must have been making money from the taxi firm. when we paid for the taxi, he had the amount written down what we were charged and the amount that the hotel staff must have been receiving in brackets at the side. Make sure you prebook your taxi's even using a british based firm it was much cheaper.

Quaint, small hotel just steps from Wincelas Square. Great service with nice rooms. Great value.

Lovely Historic Hotel in a Fantastic Location

We contacted a Prague-based travel agency representative (Radka Novatka at Prague International Travel Agency, who did an excellent job) and she recommended & booked this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends planning a trip to Prague and would return myself for another stay. Hotel Liberty is within easy 10 min. walking distance of Wenseslas Square & the State Opera House, plus the historic district & Charles Bridge. Modern shops & cafes are right outside along with a metro stop, but double-glazed windows made our room extra quiet although it looked out upon this busy street. The room was spacious and had a nice-sized marble bath with all modern conveniences. Staff members were very pleasant and helpful with transportation questions on the best way to reach our train station. Excellent buffet breakfast included a wide assortment of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, juices, fruit, etc.
