This hotel is in the perfect location. It is as close to one of the best locations in Prague, the Charles Bridge as you could want, this is also an excellent landmark for finding your way around the City. It is right next to the river and in a very quaint square but was not noisy. Perfect! We took the bus (No.119) and the metro to the closest stop and then walked the rest. This was a 5-10min walk and was a nice way to start the holiday. A Taxi would have cost around £20. The bus/metro option cost under £2 for two of us. The main attraction of his hotel is that it is close to everything but still far enough away so as not to be ruined by 100s of folk walking past the hotel making lots of noise. We stayed here at the end of October of 2007 for 3 nights. This was in half term but was still considered by most people as being off season. This was great as it meant we did not spend hours queuing for any of the attractions. When we were given our room overlooking the main square we were told straight away that we could change rooms if we were not entirely happy, there was however no need the room was great. The reception staffs were incredibly friendly and informative. The room was large with a good en-suite shower room. There was no bath but this was not an issue as we would not have used it anyway. Breakfast was a good continental spread with the usual assortment of eggs, sausages and bacon. Lots of cold meat, bread and cheeses to chose from. A very good start to the day! The only negative thing I could say about the room was the bed. It was 2 twins pushed together. One mattress would have been better. They were comfortable, but still... Prague is an incredibly beautiful place! Our stay at the hotel helped make it a great experience. I would have no problems with staying at this hotel again. We booked with Lastminute.com and got a good price for the hotel.

Rooms were nice, but very disappointed with the service in the bar/restaurant. We wanted a small beer each, so I asked at the bar (no mention of talbe service), we were ignored, then looked at us like we were criminals, eventually a man brought them over, turns out they just wanted to add a service charge to our bill, for walking past me with my beer and placing it on a table 4 feet away (the closest table to the bar!) When we asked for the bill, they grossly overcharged us, (650 crowns for 4 beers!), mumbled "including service charge" and walked away ! I gave them 800, expecting change, but he refused, just put the notes in his pocket and walked away. The rooms may be nice, but have a drink and something to eat somewhere else !!!
