Right beside Charles Bridge in the historical and cultural heart of Prague on the Mala Strana side, you will find this 700 years-old building housing a luxury hotel.
Various kinds of suites, exquisitely refurbished and with beautiful rooms and luxurious interior are at your disposal. All feature a private kitchen, jacuzzis and a computer with internet access. Nine of the suites have original wooden renaissance ceilings and the majority of the rooms overlook Charles Bridge.
The building now housing the Hotel Residence Lundborg used to be called "U modre'ho Iva" which means "At the Blue Lions". The very first note about the building dates from 1336. A few decades later King Karl IV ordered the construction of a new bridge to replace the Judith Bridge, which was destroyed by a flood in 1342. The remains of Bridge Judith can still be admired at the entrance, in the dining room and in the wine cellar of the hotel.
During the last hours of the 30 Years' War the Swedes were stopped at the Charles Bridge 1648 in Prague. The building was probably renovated or additions were made around 1770. The beautiful paintings on the ceilings of many rooms probably derive from this renovation.

Staff were polite and helpful, the room itself was superb.
The location was perfect and finding this hotel was a very nice surprise. Staff were polite and helpful, the computer installed in the room
was a convenient touch, the breakfast was good.
Central location beside the Charles Bridge, absolutely everything on our Christmas trip to Prague was perfect and the desk staff were very helpful. The room was great and food was excellent. The facilities were very good.
Very helpful reception staff allowed us to leave our luggage was time to go to the airport, position of the hotel was excellent and the room was spotless. The breakfast was good.
