What Travellers Like

We stayed at the Jasmin during our trip to prague & found it to be a good value budget type hotel. The area it is in is very quiet no noise problems from locals or traffic. The hotel is just the thing you need if you're only looking for somewhere to put your head down at night & have a good hearty breakfast in the morning. Although I prefer a good old full English breakfast, the food on offer was different & there was plenty of choice. The hotel is a little out of the way from Prague city itself but the bus & metros are second to none & you will have no problem getting there & it is unbelivably cheap.. Read review

After eventually checking in we arrived at our room. The two women who worked on reception were friendly and helpful even though their English wasnt great they still did their best in ensuring us how to get into the city. Netherless the breakfasts were throughly enjoyable with a huge variety of fresh breads, meats, cheeses and juices which was a great way to start the day.. Read review

If time isn't of the essence, bring a good book for the bus/metro. If you're taking a bus from the airport or train station on your arrival in Prague, make sure you take good directions and a map (eg from MapQuest) with you, as the hotel's a bit hard to find if you're just going by street address alone - I lugged a heavy bag around for about 20 minutes after I got off the bus till I found it - with a proper map it would have taken about 5 minutes. My room was non-smoking, but the hallway just outside was furnished with several large ashtrays, and people did smoke in the hallways, as the smoke unpleasantly drifted in under the door - kind of defeated the purpose of a non-smoking room..
