My husband, 2 teenagers and I just returned from a Christmas vacation in Prague. We stayed at the Palace Hotel on Panska and were most pleased with our accommodations. The rooms were well appointed. The staff was friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was incredible. The location was outstanding, just off of Wencelas Square and a short walk to the Old Town. We had a couple of minor inconveniences like a tv that would not turn off and service people responded immediately to our requests for service. The hotel even retrieved my daughter's Ipod and wallet that she left in the room safe and sent it by courier to our home in the US. I recommend this hotel most highly. The only negative I can think to mention was that like most European hotels the room was warmer than I like for sleeping, but the windows open and it was possible to cool down the room.

This hotel is a great choice if you looking for a 'grown up' hotel. The best thing about it is it's location - 2 minutes walk from Wencelas Square and only 7-10 from the Old Square. Although we ate out every night we can recommend the breakfast - lots of choice (including, one day, a chicken and vegetable dish??) The bar drinks are a little pricey but this is a 5* and it is hard to compare against against drink prices in the many Prague bars. The room was good, well decorated and very clean - lovely marble bathroom A safe choice
