2.6Before reserving 10 days at the Havelska we checked out the comments. On the whole it looked good except for one "grumpy" comment and therefore decided to reserve. The price is equivalent to a decent hotel (with good searching on the net) however we wanted that extra, ie to self cater. I think we reserved the same apartment as "grumpy".
The kitchen facilities were practically non-existent: fridge, two hot plates, an electric kettle, an odd assortment of kitchen utensils and plates. No microwave, no coffee making facilities, no toaster, no can opener, no corkscrew, no coffee cups/mugs, no wine glasses, no chopping board or chopping knife. The day after our arrival we received an assortment of 1 tea cup (no saucer), 2 tiny espresso cups (no saucers) and two mugs. The following evening we received two wine glasses and one can opener. The bedroom was an indoor bedroom with a small close to the ceiling window giving on to the lounge room and thus avoiding a pitch black bedroom -this wasn't an issue for us.
Beside the kitchen facilities, the most annoying factor was that we were over a garage which creaked (concrete against metal) open and shut nonstop.
On the positive side: the apartment was clean, we could not ask for a better location and charming, smiling staff. A thank you to Petra.
