Good hotel

The hotel itself was quite good. I was allocated room number 38 on the third floor, which was made up of four rooms! There were two rooms containing two single beds, a “lounge” area and a bathroom. The bathroom was very clean and reasonably spacious. The bedrooms were clean too. Breakfast consisted of orange squash, coffee, boiled eggs, various hams, salamis, etc., bread rolls, jams, etc.(Continental style). Overall I would recommend you this hotel.ommodation at a good price. The hotel is reasonably well situated with a bus stop quite near, which takes you to the metro, (FLORENC) from where you can reach the Old Town (get off at MUSTAK) with ease. Clean and Strange

The double room we booked was nice and clean, the bathroom was bigger than other rooms we stayed at and the front desk staff were helpful in getting us information on local tours, local businesses we could use and places to go to in other parts of the city. The only negative seemed to be the breakfast experience. The breakfast staff wasn't english speaking save for one lady, the rest of the staff seemed to lose patience with some of the other hotel guests and were upset with simple requests. I choose not to have breakfast there after the 2nd day. All in all, the hotel was close to the 133 bus which takes you right to the tourist area for only 30kr and if you want to walk, it's about 30 minutes to reach the astronomical clock where most tours are started from. If you are on a budget, this is a decent hotel.

Our room faced onto a courtyard, had 3 external walls and about a 1 inch space under a loose fitting door. We had to put bed clothes and towels in front of the space to stop cold wind from blowing into the room. The room was very large and we had to have a portable space heater running constantly for heat. I slept in fleece. It is not a pleasant walk from the tram to the hotel; the neighbourhood is not great. We had no safety concerns but it's dingy and the sidewalks are dirty (evidence of the many dogs around).

Stayed here for 3 nights in Nov 2007. Nice clean room, too much heat , had to turn off rads.Breakfast is ample & plenty ie cereal, eggs, meat , cheese, frankfurters, beans, lots of bread choices and sweet cakes, tea, coffee and juice. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.Area is very quiet and seems safe enough.Tried some local bars and restaurants and all were nice friendly and great value for money.Transport to city is excellent , tram 5 from Lapinska takes you to Nameski Republic (centre of city) tram 26 takes you to Castle.Reception can provide you with taxi at competitive rate to anywhere.
