This is very good example of the worst of the new breed of flashy hotels in the "new" Europe. It is a four star hotel, but is really not much more than a glossy bed-factory, with very little atmosphere and poor customer service. It is also very expensive compared to other options in Prague. Some minus points: very small room, overheated with no ventilation at all; awful buffet breakfast, poor choice and poor quality; heart-stoppingly expensive mini-bar (£4 for a half-litre bottle of mineral water!); poor standard of house-keeping (beds unmade); un-helpful staff, especially at the Reception, unfriendly and inefficient; very expensive internet access (which in a hotel of this kind, should be free!); great if you like being accosted by a masseuse in the lobby late at night! Some plus points (not many): central location (although I would not choose to stay in Wenceslas Square again, as it is too noisy and constantly busy); rooms were very quiet. There are many similar category hotels in Prague now, and many smaller establishments which offer a better level of comfort and value and are equally well-located.

We were allocated a room overlooking Wenceslas Square which was extremely noisy with people shouting and generally making lots of noise until 5:00am when we managed to fall asleep, This was a Monday night so God knows what it must be like on a weekend. At 7:00am the road works outside the hotel started up and I was at the reception desk by 7:15am requesting a move. The receptionist was very good and arranged another room for us at the back of the hotel, much better. The rooms are clean and well maintained but the big downfall in this establishment is the breakfast. The food is average but organization in the breakfast room is non existent and certainly lives up to it's self service billing. You have to help yourself to plates, cups, saucers, glasses and cutlery if you are actually lucky enough to find any. Everyone was complaining and becoming very frustrated. The hotel location is good and you can walk anywhere as long as youre reasonably fit but beware the noise, make sure youre at the back of the hotel!
