This is a quality hotel slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Prague. 20 min taxi from airport and you're there. You can be at the Palace in 10mins and Charles bridge in 20mins - on foot. There is a tram stop right outside if you want to use that as propsed to walking. Rooms are lovely and spacious - separate shower and WC. Hotel seemed very quiet and staff were very helpful. Buffet breakfast was fab except dont expect the fry up to be hot - luke warm at best! This seems to be the way over here! A pianist entertains in the restaraunt and although we ate out , I d expect the food was very good and lunch and dinner. We stayed four nights - 3 would be plenty for this city. We got a decent price in Feb - its well worth it!

When we arrived at the hotel both my husband and I were shocked as to its location. It was quite some distance from the centre of town. Welcome on arrival was excellent , check in was efficient and our rooms were available even though we were early. Our room itself was very nice , quite large , and with a fantastic marble bathroom. The mini bar was well stocked . The hotel staff were friendly and helpful providing us with maps and information. The hotel location is not ideal, it is a good 20 minutes walk to the centre , going down is fine , going back is hard going unless you are mountain goat !!. You can catch a tram outside the hotel a 22 or 23 which will take you into town. Breakfast is good , it offered a wide selection of food but nothing different to any hotel. The one thing which we found annoying was that we asked to use the internet to check in on line for our flight , we were told that that we would be subject to an addtional charge to use it, we refused and checked in at the airport. The hotel overall was ok, not what I expected of a 5 star hotel, and the location was a bit remote.

10yr wedding anniversary weekend. Called ahead to the hotel letting them know, booked limo pick-up from hotel, etc. They were very efficient prior to arrival, check-in was swift, we were given early check-in and the room was spotless. During our stay they put champagne and fruit in the room, plus rose petals in the bathroom. The management really did make it an excellent stay. No complaints at all. Breakfast was more than enough, the wellness center (while small) was never busy and nice to use. The rooms were sizeable and clean. Only minor negatives were 1) no coffee making facilities and 2) some parts of the walls could have done with re-painting, becoming a little faded throughout the hotel. The hotel is above the castle...approx 10mins away and 20mins from the Charles Bridge. It's a good walk, possibly tough for those who get tired as it is an uphill walk, but the positive is the quiet location. Overall, a very positive exeperience. If you get the chance, try the Kampa Park restaurant. It's next to the Charles Bridge and while not cheap (~$250 for 2!), it was one of the most memorable dinner experiences we've had in 12yrs of travelling. The service was exceptional, food likewise and really nice to sit outside facing the river on a warm summer evening.

We have just returned from our second stay at this wonderful hotel in Prague. It is because of the hotel that we decided to return for our second trip to Prague becuase we knew how comfortable and enjoyable our last stay there was and we were not disappointed this time round either. The hotel is situated at the top of the city within a 5-10 minute walk from Prague Castle which means you have to walk down to nay of the major sites, but the views form this part of the city are beautiful and well-worth it. The staff at the Savoy itself are extremely friendly and helpful and are very welcoming. The (Deluxe) room itself is spacious and beautifully laid out with a complimentary mini-bar to boot!!! Although the cost may be a little on the pricey side, if comfort and luxury is what you are after then this is the place to stay.
