Hotel Tiepolo - Prague, Czech Republic     

First impression - We stayed about 5 nights at the end of April. Arrived in the evening to find our room not ready and we are talking past 10pm!!! There were three of us but only 2 single beds wered ready for use. The saving grace was that the young (presumably student) receptionist was quick to remedy the situation and apologised for the error. Room - quite spacious with 2 single beds, a sofa that opens up as another bed, dining table for 3, kitchenette and spacious bathroom with proper heating. Location - a little out of the way but there is a tram stop just round the corner that takes you to direct to Andel which is a major metro stop with great shopping, lots of cafes and restaurants, banks etc. From Andel you can go to almost everywhere in Prague. Breakfast - simple but enough to get the day going. Service - More than pleased with the readiness of reception staff to give assistance whenever required. A young and very pleasant lady ran the extra mile to help locate Japanese restaurants for us and found us like 3 different names with addresses and even showed us the location on the map with transportation suggestions. The same lady helped to book a cab to the airport. If not anything else, I can almost without hesitation give top marks for the service at Hotel Tiepolo. Caution - the cabs from Hlavni railstation to the hotel are exorbitant at 20Euros one-way - we paid less than that for the cab ride to the airport.
