5We have experienced lots of City breaks, this being our first trip to Prague. We always take time studying the hotels and surrounding areas and this time found a hidden gem. The Hotel Mucha is situated in a quiet area of the City but easily accessible to all tourist attractions. Daily tram tickets can be purchased from the extremely friendly and helpful receptionists at the hotel who informed us as we were going to buy a 3 day ticket, that it is cheaper to buy daily tickets. The hotel is situated a few yards from the tram stops and the No. 24 tram(leaves every 5 mins) takes you to the centre of Wenseslas Square which is walkable distance to shops, daily market, astronomical clock and Charles Bridge.
The bedrooms at the Hotel Mucha are quite grande with antique furniture very large beds and all modern amenities, hairdryer, kettle, (tea/coffee/sugar and milk renewed on a daily basis). Getting to sleep every night was no hardship as the hotel is situated on a quiet street away from the late night revellers. Our mornings started with a delicious breakfast, plenty of choice and again staff were very friendly.
We asked the receptionist to book us a taxi back to the airport which was advertised at a fixed rate of the equivalent to ?20 which was very good as we were in a party of 4. The taxi driver turned out to be the bell boy (who we thought looked a lot like David Walliams) and we spend a pleasant drive with him to the airport as he showed us some beautiful sights of Prague.
We all thought our 4 day break to Prague was one of the most memorable and enjoyable holidays we have experienced and even the weather was glorious! JUST PERFECT. Many thanks to all staff at the Hotel Mucha.
Kind Regards
