4My husband and I just returned from 4 nights at Hotel Atlantic. The hotel was in a good location next to all major attractions and public transportation. Everywhere is walkable and can be reached by metro and/or tram.
They use the old lock and key system that you have to carry around a big bulky key for the room and the safe. The twin room we got was sleepable but no air conditioner. We kept the window open all day and all night. Every night the restaurant/pub (Metropol) across the street had loud music but we were so tired from the long day of sight seeing, we were able to fall asleep without too much trouble.
The breakfast was okay and one morning, the food ran out and they didn't provide anymore for late comers. Don't forget to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, soap and an alarm clock.
When traveling to/from the airport, use the Czech Airline airport transportation in front of the Hilton hotel 2 blocks away. It's 120 Kc per person whereas the hotel charges 680 Kc.
Overall, if you are looking to spend some time in the hotel, stay somewhere else with better amenities but for reasonable and affordable hotel that you can sleep after a long day of sight seeing, then this hotel will be good enough.
