My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Elite. It was very convenient for the city centre, but situated on a quiet backstreet. There was a very good choice of breakfast. Room of reasonable size. The only minor criticism is that our room was in a blackspot for the motion sensor in the corridor and we emerged into blackness in the evening. Friendly and helpful staff.

We had a work Christmas "trip" to Prague and stayed at the Elite - mainly due to our lateness in booking and the fact that there were 10 of us who all wished to stay in the same Hotel and it was difficult to find availability. My own personal experience of the room was great as we had a very large room with massive curved ceilings that had paintings on them. The room had air conditining and we had absolutely no complaints about it at all Some of the other people in the party told us that they had "attic" style rooms with no air conditioin etc and they were not impressed so i think we were the lucky ones. The location is good and within easy walking distance of the town centre and a great base for exploring the city. The area around the hotel is not the best but we had no problems at all and i would stay again. The building is very old and the one negative part was the bar which was small and the breakfast room was very cramped.
