Our stay at the Botel Albatros lasted for 5 days, and the overall experience was ok. First we got a room with separated beds (a double requisted) and a terrible cigarrette smell, but after a room change everything was ok. Remember to ask for a room on the river side! The street side is extremely noisy all night long! A bigger problem for me was, that the big cabin windows couldn?t be locked, so anyone could open it from the outside. Ofcourse there is some water there, but no problem to enter the rooms on the first floor with a small boat...not that safe.. The staff was not that polite, but who cares. The boat has a lovely terracebar with expensive beer. I would recommend this botel for young people with good backs, the beds are not that comfortable.

Just got back from Prague, staying two nights at the Albatros. Also stayed at hotels in two other Czech towns, and four in Germany, and this was the most interesting place. Staff were very helpful (yes, they did speak English, and German), the location is great, and very quiet, especially in the riverside rooms. The Old Town can be very noisy, so definitely appreciated the quiet here. Rooms were small, but not tiny (although the shower was a tight fit), and were well cleaned each day. The boat also has a nice lounge where you can relax at the end of the day and watch river traffic go by. The only downside was the mediocre breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
