Went there for work and stayed two nights. Found reception good, though their communication skills in English sometimes let them down but they did their best and were very helpful. My room was on the tenth floor and it has lovely views over the city. Room was small but comfortably furnished. WC/Shower room was a little too small to be comfortable in and enjoy after a shower. Shower was awkward to use. It advertises a rooftop resturaunt however it wasnt there however you can still enjoy the great views over the city to the sea. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as the selection is more European than UK, so didnt eat much but there is enough that you can find something. Hotel is a good location for shops and I'd maybe stay their again if i was going for work.

an absolute gem of a hotel we got great rates from istanbul hotel net on the web and my sister and i and 3x 9yr olds spend 5 nights here you may think taxim square is not a good place to stay but it was great. the hotel rooms were very nicely decorated i had a double my sister had a triple aparently there are two types of rooms large and small so i just emailed the hotel and asked for the large rooms ours were lovely. we used the rooms service for toasted cheese lunch and it was so cheap cannot remember the exact prices but it was surprisingly cheap. The best thing about it was the swimming pool. the indoor pool was quite long and there was never anyone in it so the kids went in it for hours and there was a lovely gym with all modern equipment which i used and a turkish bath and sauna. on the roof was an big square outdoor pool the girls moaned it was freezing but they still went in we didn't i took some cheap inflatables and they played with them and we threw them away at the end. there is a nice lounge not really for taking kids but nice for adults. on the ground floor is madows cafe which i love which sells lovely icecreams and desserts. it is a quiet area just across the road from taxim square lots of little cheap restaurants around it (i mean cheap) which were nice and round the corner is pizza hut and macdonals if needed. internet cafes are near by the only negative was the lack of aircon they say they have it but it must be on the lowest setting so americans wouldn't stand it in the summer but it was a really nice hotel and for 50 pounds a night you cannot complain
