I stayed here in the 3 star part of the hotel for a week during the World Duathlon Championships (May 2007). I had no concept of what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised - the staff were courteous, the reception staff spoke English amongst other languages, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and hassle-free. We were a fairly large group with specific needs and they did not seem fazed by this - giving us access to a large room to store our bicycles. In this part of the hotel (the 3 star part) there are 3 floors with no elevator. The rooms were really bright and clean, as was the garden and small patio. The decor is simple, effective and fresh-looking. It was hot weather, so once we had figured out how to open the skylight windows in the room we could get a cross-breeze from the bathroom window. The only drawback in having the windows open was the traffic noise from the main roadway nearby, which is used by many trucks throughout the night, so for light sleepers this would be a problem! Despite what I read in several places on the internet, there WAS Wi-fi in the rooms and it was FREE!
There was a small fridge in the room, and the bottled water supplied by the hotel and placed in the fridge each day turned out to be complimentary. We had breakfast included - a help-yourself choice of fresh fruits, juices, cereals, muesli, yoghurts; breads pastries, with jams/honey, boiled and scrambled egg, sausage cheese and cold cut meats. Hot drinks included hot chocolate, coffee and teas. The small breakfast room is also where the front desk is, so staff were available to ask for anything if it had run out.
I ate some meals at the restaurant in the 4 star part of the hotel - the meals were fabulous (and I'm pretty fussy!!). Beautiful presentation of food, and combination of flavours - all fresh ingredients. (I tried the Hungarian goulash, cocounut shrimp, and a couple of the salads.) A small gratuitous appetiser is offered once you have ordered your meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Gyor. All in all I would stay here again - it is close to the city centre, secure parking is provided at the back of the hotel (I did not have to pay for it), service was good and the price was very reasonable.

Not bad. Nothing outstanding. The rooms are average, the food average, the service cold and distant. Not very central but not too far.
In other words, a place to spend a night, eat something, pay and leave.
Nothing to remember really.
