We stayed at the NH Den Haag for a weekend conference. The hotel is very modern, with excellent sized rooms and it is clean and comfortable. It is well placed for the business district, is located near to a tram station, but is about 20 mis walk from the centre in an unattractive location. It appears to be very quiet at weekends - so much so that the bar shuts! We had one dreadful meal and one good one, so it is hard to comment on the food with any authority. Staff were helpful.
It would probably not be my first choice if staying in The Hague unless a very good deal was available, or I needed to be in that part of town.

This hotel is really struggling with identity - they claim to be a four star but the service is like you're in communist eastern europe. Whilst the staff are superficially pleasant, they have a deep seated objection to and will often refuse to actually solve your problems. Be warned if you want food out of hours, laundry at the weekend, or directions in Den Haag. With regard to asking for room service at 2308 (it closed at 2300) I got told "the kitchen is closed, we have no bread or cheese, and polite guests wait until breakfast to eat" whereupon the phone was slammed down - they now do room service until midnight but I would not be optimistic if you asked for anything after that. Laundry - they do not do this at weekends (even though this is meant to be a four star hotel) and when asking how I might get my laundry done I got the respsonse "I don't know this is not my problem". Finally when asking for directions the desk clerk said "I have no idea how to get there as I don't live in Den Haag" - I was pointed towards the free maps (useless if you don't know the city) with no offer of helping me find an address via the internet etc.
Added to the hopeless service, the locale lacks anything of use too (no shops, bars, or eateries except two establishments onsite).
Some of this expereince relates to Netherlands customer care (typically the standard of service you get in Holland is very poor - "its not my problem") but this is hugely multiplied by the attitude of staff.
Consequently I cannot recommend this establishment - in fact I would go so far as to say avoid it if you have another option.
Therefore only stay here if you are forced to.
