Four Points by Sheraton Sihlcity Zurich - Zurich, Switzerland 

Unless your main purpose of visit only for Sihlycity, otherwise I will advise you to find cheaper hotel in the city. To visit Sihlcity, or I should say to shop, then this is one of the best alternative. Located at the 'GATE' of Sihlcity, you just cross the aisle from Puma Shop. The tram stop is just cross the street away (Tram number 13 and 5). The distance between Sihlcity and Zurich main train station is about 20 minutes away (count the waiting time). But if you stay in this hotel and want to visit Zurich center, make sure you got the schedule on hand, because after 9 PM there only train number 5 available on service and the waiting time is longer.

The hotel is located to the South West of the city in a newly developed area with a large shopping mall opposite it . The hotel is part of the shopping complex and is adjacent to the Asia Spa. The city centre is 5 - 10 minutes by tram. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the lake. I stayed for a couple of nights while on business. The standard rooms are bigger than average and the deluxe rooms are noticeably larger and nicely decorated. I stayed in a junior suite with a corner view, which was very spacious and comfortable. The room was clean and the furniture and fittings were new. The drawers are springloaded so jump back into place. The beds were firm and comfortable and there was a lot of cupboard space. The hotel provides complimentary slippers, the use of a robe and bottled water. The corridors are wide and well lit and the buffet breakfast had a varied choice and was reasonably priced. The rooms generally have poor views. On one side you look out onto the wall of the A3 motorway and the Sihl river below it and the other side looks out mostly on the concrete wall of the shopping mall. I visited the Asia Spa which opened on 9 July and is not yet fully finished. The pool layout is strange with three small pools, only one of which is large enough to swim in. The water in the larger pool was not heated but this may have been due to "teething trouble". The spa while linked to the hotel is separate and cost ChF35 for two hours. It has a fitness room with ample equipment and treatment rooms. I would stay again as it is well located for the business traveller. Most of my meetings were no more than 15 minutes walk. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and the service was friendly and efficient.
