We chose this hotel as it is situated just round the corner from the railway station, however, it took us a little while to find it as the entrance is not obvious. The reception service was good and within 15 mins of arriving by train in Copenhagen we were out exploring. The room was a little dated but adequate with a very comfy bed. The shower was more like a dribble and the shower room looked like it was starting to show its age. We were on the fifth floor so felt the heat as there was no aircon but due to the noise, as it is in the centre of the city, had to close the windows at night to be able to sleep. Breakfast is in the restaurant downstairs and was very good, with lots of choice, although it was a little congested at times. Whilst it is not what I would class as a 4 star hotel its location is excellent with all the sights easily within walking distance, Tivoli is a few minutes away. There are lots of places to eat in the city, we found a lovely steak restaurant further down Vesterbrogade, which although is classed as a poorer area is definately up and coming and is quite a chic place for the locals to go. As a base for a few nights it is ok as it is in a gret location but I wouldn't recommend it for long stays.

Anyone who is an experienced traveller would comment adversley on this hotel. When my wife and I arrived just after midnight some unsavourary characters were seated across the entrance steps to the hotel with no apparent action being taken by the night manager. We were then put into a supposed non smoking room which we were forced to vacate due to the overpowering smell of tobacco in the bathroom. We were then placed in a room which had a bed against one wall and less than 2 feet of space to the other. This room was tiny. It was on the same floor which smelled heavily all night of cigarette smoke. The hotel is not 4 star standard, rather it would struggle to meet 2 star standard as rated in Australia Uk and the USA. The rooms are very small, corridors are narrow, there is no airconditioning or air cooling or ventilation other than to open windows to a very noisy street outside, The bathroom facilities in both rooms we occupied were very basic. The hotel is well worn and threadbare in places. Overall a very nasty experience and not a cheap hotel. Fellow travellers beware.
