My sister-in-law and I stayed here and really liked it. We arrived about three hours later than scheduled at 1 in the morning, but were warmly welcomed nonetheless. Everything we had asked for on the internet booking was there - view over the Charles Bridge, twin beds, the lot. And there was a well-stocked minibar that inclueded chocolate! We didn't eat dinner there, but I can recommend the breakfasts. Fruit, bread, cheese, ham, cereals, tea, coffee and several kinds of fruit juice. It's not a swanky place so if you can't live without jacuzzis, lifts and cocktail bars, forget it. If you like solid comfort, good food and value for money, book now. The hotel is right by the Charles Bridge and, yes, the Charles Bridge is noisy. However, the windows are good thick solid ones and keep out 90% of the noise. A word of advice - don't try and drive to the hotel. It is quite tucked away - even the taxi-driver had to use sat-nav to find it. That said, who needs to drive in Prague? Buses, trams and the metro make it a pointless exercise.

Visited Prague on business and stayed at the Three Ostriches. Having read the reviews online, I was wary about the hotel - but since a colleague booked the hotel I had no choice. I was pleasantly surprised - my single room was very nice with a great view of the Charles Bridge. I was on the third floor, which provided a great view and perhaps kept me above the noise a bit. There is no elevator so keep that in mind if you are coming here and have difficulty with stairs. I noticed the previous review of the difficulty with the small bath/shower. I had no such issue with my room - no bath but a nice shower with great water pressure. The restaurant was very nice and served a great breakfast. They provide free access to internet, email, etc. and the staff was very helpful and friendly. There is no doubt that in the summer the noise would be challenging, in fact one of my colleagues had trouble sleeping even with the windows shut (temp was about 0 degrees so air conditioning was not an issue). The location is really hard to beat, within walking distance of most Prague tourist attractions and with plenty of good restaurants around. I would definitely stay here again in cooler months, but if I was a light sleeper I would think hard about staying here in the summer with the potential noise from the bridge.
