Hotel Oslo - Coimbra, Portugal     

siamo stati all'hotel Oslo solo per una notte... mi è piaciuto molto lo stile delle camere e della sala colazioni... il buffet della colazione era ben fornito e molto buono... la pulizia era molto buona, le camere silenziose nonostante fossimo proprio sulla strada. il personale è gentile e cordiale!

i wish I would have gotten his name, but the clerk at the Hotel Oslo deserves a raise. He was eager to please, and even more eager to practice his English and give excellent advice about his city. The rooms are modern and clean, albeit small, and we had to have someone come up and fix the air conditioning. But the location is very central, just off the river and an easy walk into the heart of the city's shopping and restaurant core. But this particular neighborhood rolls up the sidewalks after dark and seems a little shady for walking around very late. Luckily, the hotel has a quaint little rooftop bar, where local men play checkers and smoke too much, and you can sip a beer or a cocktail and watch the lights up the hillside to the University. In the evening, we coincidentally ran into the hotel clerk as he walked home from his shift, and he took the time to show us down the street to his favorite restaurant (very good!). Meanwhile, he told us about the year he spent studying in New Jersey, which he called the "armpit of America." What a great guy!
