First I was offered the Horizon upgrade at a cost of 700 RMB per night and was told this would get me breakfast and the afternoon canapes etc, said I wasn't interested as I wouldn't be at the hotel...... I had a great time at this hotel (my fourth trip to Shanghai) and to avoid some of what I am about to tell you, I splurged a bit and booked a suite at the last minute for about $700 US/ night.
