On previous trips to Beijing, I have always stayed in the typical big brand hotels. They were nice but varied little from city to city. Earlier this year, I saw a photograph on the Tianxiang Courtyard hotel on an airline website & thought it looked like culture and accommodation in a package. Arriving for my first stay at this hotel in early March, I was not disappointed. I returned within a week with my family! We loved the atmosphere of the hotel. The proximity to all the famous sites was a bonus. An underground train station is no more than 5 mins walk away so getting around was easy and economical. There are many restaurants in the area and some are very good. And the staff at the hotel...they were very helpful and cheerful. We will be back!

While a little hard to find tucked away in a back street, this hotel is a gem.
The staff are great and special mention for Jennifer and Grace who provided good advice on travel and sightseeing.
Local eating places in the main street 5 mins from the hotel are many and varied.
Charming facilities and well appointed rooms.
