Capital Hotel Beijing's location was excellent, it was a short walk from Tianamen square and the Forbidden City, and it was situated near shops where you could buy water and snacks.
We found that the chinese people in the square would stop and talk to us, I was told later that they wanted to improve their English language skills. On times it did get a little annoying, but we were on holiday so what the heck.

I enjoyed my stay at Capital Hotel. I got a deluxe room and found it to be more than enough room and luxury. Everyone was very good to me and very helpful when I asked questions. Because I was there to learn more about China and it's history I didn't hang around the hotel other than to sleep. It was very quiet and the bathroom was impressive in both size and functionality. I would stay there again without question.

I made a last minute trip to Beijing and found this hotel at a great price on Travelocity. It has a great location being minutes away from the Forbidden City, it has great amenities, including a bowling alley, swimming pool, restaurants, and KTV. I got it at a great price and after I got upgraded to a suite, it was even a better value. While it's not the newest hotel in Beijing, it still has some moves! The next time I am in Beijing, this would be my first choice as a price sensitive shopper..
