Hotel Seehof - Zurich, Switzerland 

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 16month old daughter. It is i a great position. I was a bit confused about the reviews that say it is far from town. It took us 10 minutes to walk into the old town. But there is so much to do around the immediate area as well. It is right near the Opera house and 1 block from the walk along the lake. This is a great walk. If you stay here with children walk towards the chinese gardens and you will find a fenced in sand park, it has swings, slides etc. and lovely clean white sand, in summer it has a water play area so make sure the kids have swimmers on. If you walk from the hotel away from the lake and take the first right, there are lots of very cool shops along this street. We had the junior suite on the top floor and it had a large terrace. The room was great, the bathroom was really good. Lovely deep bathtub, lots of room. There are stairs in the room right next to the front door (an emergency exit) they lead to the next floor down. For some odd reason our daughter wasn't interested in them, but with a toddler they are a bit dangerous. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was a standard cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, bread etc. but very good. They even boiled up a couple of eggs for us. We also got a good deal on the room, so it was worth every Franc!
